| INDIVIDUAL COSTUMES | | One award in each of the following categories: Best Current Event; Best Movie; Best Texas Theme; and Loudest. Contestants must check in on race morning at the VIC tent (near the "D" Tag pickup area). |

| CENTIPEDES | | A Centipede Team will consist of at least six (6) runners that are attached during the race. Each centipede member must register as an individual in the 10K Run or Walk. Teams, with all members present, will check in race morning at the VIC tent (near the "D" Tag pickup area) in order to be eligible. One award will be given in each of the following categories: Fastest; Longest; Loudest; Best Current Event; Best Movie; Best Texas Theme; Best Corporate; Best Club; Best Media and Best School. |

| RACE SCORING | | Race scoring will be done by "D" Tag. You will not be considered an official Finisher if you do not wear the tag on your shoe. Plan on picking up your tag on race morning, near the Start line. The tag will be attached to your bib number and needs to be detached from the bib and attached to your shoe prior to the start of the race (CLICK HERE to download an Instruction Sheet for Correct Use) You will NOT need to return the tag at the conclusion of the race. You will NOT be able to use your personal timing chipfor this race. |

| COURSE TIME LIMIT | | The finish line will be open for 2 hours and 30 minutes (a 24 minute per mile pace). The course will re-open to traffic at the following time periods (hours:minutes): |

| POST RACE PARTY & AWARDS CEREMONY | | After the race, enjoy refreshments donated by our fabulous sponsors and listen to live music around the reflection pool in Hermann Square in front of City Hall. The Awards Ceremony will begin at 9:30 AM. The Post Race Party will go on and on. |

| RESTRICTIONS | | No wheeled vehicles for participants not in the wheelchair event. Baby joggers or skates will not be allowed on the course. Pets are not allowed. For safety reasons the race recommends against wearing headsets during the race. |

Proceeds from the HEB Bayou City Classic 10K go toward helping maintain and develop trails for running and walking in our city parks. The trails are available to anyone who lives in or visits Houston looking for a place to exercise, or to find a green haven away from the hustle and bustle of big city life.
